Install guide
It takes under a minute — just follow the four steps below.
- Download and unzip
Use the button above to download aipaw-1.0.0.zip and unzip it into a folder you will not delete by accident — keep that folder after installing.
- Open the extensions page and turn on developer mode
Type chrome://extensions into the Chrome address bar and press Enter, then switch on "Developer mode" in the top right of the page.
- Load the unpacked extension
Click the "Load unpacked" button that appears in the top left, choose the folder you unzipped in step 1, and AIPaw shows up in the extension list.
- Pin it to the toolbar and start using it
Click the puzzle-piece icon in the browser toolbar and pin AIPaw there. Clicking the paw icon opens the sidebar.
Tip: extensions installed from an unpacked folder may make Chrome ask about "disabling developer mode extensions" after a restart. Choose to keep it; nothing else changes.
How to update
Updating works differently depending on how you installed it.
After installing from the Chrome Web Store, the browser checks for and installs new versions in the background, usually within a few hours of release — nothing to do by hand.
To update right away: open chrome://extensions, turn on "Developer mode" in the top right, and click the "Update" button to pull the newest version immediately.
- Come back to this page and download the latest AIPaw package.
- Unzip it and overwrite the existing extension folder, keeping the same path.
- Open chrome://extensions and click the reload icon on the AIPaw card.
Note: do not delete or move the folder you unzipped during installation — Chrome keeps reading from it.
