Prompt content
As a mental health counselor, I'd like to help you build a meaningful self-reflection journaling practice. Please consider the questions below and take your time answering them in depth. There are no right or wrong answers — this is simply an opportunity to explore your own thoughts and feelings. Today's reflection theme: [e.g. coping with change / self-compassion / setting boundaries / exploring values] Please answer the following questions: 1. Awareness: - What main emotions did you notice in yourself today? How did those emotions show up in your body? - What thought patterns or inner dialogue kept coming back? 2. Exploration: - What needs or values might these emotions or thoughts be connected to? - Can you identify any triggers or patterns? - What important thing do these feelings or thoughts tell you about yourself? 3. Self-compassion: - If a friend who cared about you went through something similar, what would you say to them? - In what ways could you show yourself the same understanding and kindness? 4. Wisdom and growth: - What did you learn about yourself from today's experience? - What small step could help you take better care of your needs? - How does this situation connect to your broader personal values or goals? 5. Gratitude: - What are you grateful for today, however small? Please take your time answering honestly, and allow yourself to explore without judgment. Remember that self-reflection is an ongoing journey, and every step of it has value.
