Tencent ARC (Applied Research Center) publishes computer-vision research spanning face restoration, image super-resolution and generative image processing. The widely shared Arc Lab face-restoration page was one of its research demos.
What changed
The old /zh/ai-demos/faceRestoration URL now returns 404, so instructions that tell users to upload an image in the browser without signing in are no longer valid. Tencent ARC currently maintains an AI-app hub that asks desktop visitors to scan a QR code and continue in a WeChat mini program.
This page therefore no longer claims that the former browser demo is free, registration-free or directly usable. Current availability, included demos and data-handling terms should be checked in the live mobile experience.
